SNMP Preferences for SiteScope SNMP Trap Alerts
With the diversity of business systems and applications
interoperability of management applications can be important to overall
effectiveness and manageability. SiteScope
can integrate with SNMP-based network management systems by use of the
SiteScope SNMP Trap Alert type. You use the SNMP Preferences page
to define settings for SiteScope to send traps to SNMP hosts.
This section describes:
You use the SNMP Preferences form to enter information that SiteScope needs
in order to communicate with a external SNMP host or management console. SiteScope
can then be configured to send SNMP trap alerts directly to the management console.
The SNMP Preferences form is used to define the SNMP host and default SNMP trap settings.
If you want SiteScope to send SNMP traps to different hosts or
more than one host at once, you must create additional SNMP settings using
the Add Additional SNMP Settings form. Additional SNMP settings
are listed in the Additional SNMP Settings Table at the bottom of the
SNMP Preferences form.
Complete the form as indicated below and then click the Save
Changes button.
