SiteScope User's Guide

Diagnostic Tools for Troubleshooting

When SiteScope reports a problem with a monitored system or you are having difficulty configuring a monitor, it is useful to have some resources you can use to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. SiteScope provides a number of tools to help you uncover issues and facilitate monitor configuration. Use these tools to make a variety of requests and queries of systems you are trying to monitor and view detailed results of the action. This may include simply testing network connectivty or verifying login authentication for accessing an external database or service.

The diagnostic tools can be accessed either by the More link displayed in the Monitor Detail Page or by selecting a tool from the Diagnostic Tools page. The Diagnostic Tools page can be accessed using the Tools link in the main SiteScope navigation menu.

The following is a list of diagnostic tools currently available with SiteScope. For more information about these tools, click the links provided.
